Experienced in hand building, throwing, mold making, slip casting, and burnout techniques. Capable in mixing, adjusting and testing glazes and clay bodies. Specialty in dry glazes, washes and frost-resistant sculptural clay bodies. Experience with loading and firing anagama, noborigama woodier, soda, rake, pit, Blaauw gas, Bailey gas, and L&L electric kilns. Familiar with basic kiln building techniques, burner construction and kiln maintenance. Experience with pug mill, Soldner mixer and Shar mixer.
Experience designing and fabricating functional constructions for theater sets, pedestals and installations. Confident use of power tools and stationary equipment. Skilled in joinery, lamination, sculpting and finishing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
